Ingredients
Scale
1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
4 large flour tortillas or wraps
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup marinara sauce
Olive oil spray, as needed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken with marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated.
Step 2: Lay out one flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture onto the center of the tortilla, leaving space around the edges. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken.
Step 3: Fold the wrap by first folding in two opposite sides of the tortilla, then tightly rolling it up from one of the open ends to create a secure, burrito-like shape. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas and filling.
Step 4: Lightly spray the assembled wraps all over with olive oil spray. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Place 2-3 wraps (or as many as fit without overcrowding) seam-side down in the air fryer basket.
Step 5: Air fry the wraps for 8-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 6: Carefully remove the crispy wraps from the air fryer. Let them cool for a minute or two before serving, optionally with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Keep any leftover wraps in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days, perfect for a quick, cheesy bite later.
To bring back that glorious crisp, reheat leftover wraps in your air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or pop them in an oven until warmed through and crunchy again; avoid the microwave to keep them from getting soggy.
These cheesy delights pair wonderfully with a fresh green salad dressed in a zesty vinaigrette, or alongside a simple bowl of steamed broccoli for a balanced and satisfying meal.
For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of dried oregano or a tiny dash of smoked paprika to your chicken mixture, or even a sprinkle of fresh parsley after cooking, to elevate the taste even further.
