Ingredients
Scale
1 bottle (750ml) dry white grape juice with vinegar (e.g., Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
1 cup (8 oz) green apple fruit juice concentrate (such as DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker)
1 cup (8 oz) unsweetened apple juice
1/2 cup (4 oz) apple juice with brandy extract
1/4 cup (2 oz) fresh lime juice
1/4 cup (2 oz) simple syrup (adjust to taste)
2 medium green apples, cored and thinly sliced
1 cup club soda or sparkling water, for topping
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the fruit by thinly slicing the cored green apples.
Step 2: In a large pitcher, combine the white grape juice with vinegar, green apple fruit juice concentrate, apple juice, apple juice with brandy extract, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Step 3: Add the thinly sliced green apples to the pitcher with the liquid mixture.
Step 4: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to infuse the sangria.
Step 5: When ready to serve, fill individual glasses with ice, pour the chilled sangria over the ice, and top each glass with a splash of club soda or sparkling water. Garnish with additional fresh apple slices if desired.
Notes
Your delicious sangria base, without the club soda, will keep wonderfully in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; just know the apple slices might soften a bit over time.
Since this sangria is best enjoyed refreshingly cold, there's no reheating needed! Just give it a good stir after storing and ensure it's perfectly chilled before serving over fresh ice.
Elevate each glass with a festive touch by adding a fresh lime wheel or a few frozen green grapes alongside the apple slices, creating an extra chill and delightful presentation.
For an extra burst of tart apple flavor and a richer infusion, lightly muddle a few of the apple slices in the pitcher before adding the liquid ingredients, and definitely let it chill overnight.
